Howden Group

Birkin partnered with Howden Group Holdings in 2015 for their London offices. In 2018, we won the contract for their new flagship location, covering 130,000 sq. ft. Our services included office cleaning, housekeeping, window cleaning, deep cleaning, pest control, laundry, washroom services, and consumable supply.

Best Practice and Innovation:

2019 Birkin's consistent delivery led Howden to award us the cleaning services for their entire national office portfolio. We introduced a portfolio management approach, standardised specifications, and performance reporting, resulting in efficiency gains and cost savings.
2020 After a contract review, we secured a new 3-year contract, maintaining the best value position.
2021 During the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided expert advice and conducted sanitisation cleans, earning a nomination for a Cleaning Excellence Award.
2022 Birkin utilised IoT sensor technologies to optimise smart cleaning methodologies, leading Howden to win the Golden Service Award for "Going The Extra Mile."
2023 After Howden's acquisitions, our scope expanded to c100 locations, enhancing our regional presence and national delivery options.

Kent Catholic Schools Partnership

Birkin partnered with Kent Catholic Schools Partnership (KCSP) in January 2020, a collaborative effort led by the Archbishop of Southwark educating nearly 10,000 students across their academies. The relationship has been marked by success and diversity, driven by the dedicated management and regional teams with full ownership of all partnership premises.

The Birkin Group has formed a strong partnership with the London Borough of Merton Council, providing cleaning and associated services to a diverse portfolio of 30+ locations. C1 Align Joint Venture in partnership with HS2

The Align Consortium, comprised of Bouygues Travaux Publics, Sir Robert McAlpine, and VolkerFitzpatrick, undertook the construction of the C1 section of the prestigious HS2 project. Spanning 21.6 kilometers north-west of London, this section includes the awe-inspiring 3.4-kilometer Colne Valley Viaduct and two 15.75-kilometer Chilterns Tunnels.

The Birkin Group was entrusted with delivering comprehensive cleaning and hygiene services across 30 sites, encompassing offices, construction areas, welfare facilities, and the intricate tunnels and viaducts. This 24/7 operation is skillfully managed by a dedicated team of supervisors and managers, overseeing a workforce of over 50 cleaning staff members.
