All members of our cleaning team are provided with industry-leading training in line with standards specified by the British Institute of Cleaning Science.

As an accredited Authorised Training Organisation (ATO) we can now train our own team to BICSc standard and we have a rolling programme of training to ensure all our staff remain highly competent and focussed on their roles.

All staff at Team Birkin HQ undertake training to NVQ level 2 or 3, and our Operational Management team have now completed their LTP (Licence to Practice) and CPSS (Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite) Basic Units training and certifications.

By the end of 2017 we aim to have all mobile and site-based Cleaning Supervisors qualified and certificated by the end of 2017.

This is a significant achievement for Birkin and will ensure we deliver on our high service-led standards. We understand the value of investing in our employees and providing everyone with meaningful training is one of the ways we deliver on Team Birkin’s passion to be the best.

The results speak for themselves, employee retention has improved from 82.1% in April 2016 to a benchmark 95.2% by April 2017.

Training applies to existing as well as new members of Team Birkin, even if you’ve transferred from other suppliers.

We know that training is vital to our success, and we encourage employee loyalty by investing in Executive Coaching and Mentoring for our management team, in addition to externally accredited courses on leadership.

Everyone at Team Birkin completes a Welcome to Birkin induction which covers off all of the key basic modules required to enable you to complete your job safely and correctly.

We have an annual review of all training requirements as part of our internal appraisal process.
